The Korg Polysix was my first polyphonic analog synthesizer. It is a fairly basic 1 osc synth. It is korg's last attempt at a fully analog synthesizer. What makes it so special is the massive sound this synth can put out even up against it's more expensive competition. This is due to the fantastic ensemble/ chorus that was built into it along with classic SSM 2044 filters. In my early years of highschool I put countless recordings to the 4 track with my beloved polysix. I ended up selling it to get my Emulator II. Recently I bought another polysix and put a midi retrofit in it. Even with all of the other bigger synths in the studio, this one still often gets turned on.
